Fuel gauge is an improvement over early batteries
Previous batteries had a charge indicator that was green for good, yellow for low and red for dead. The new "fuel gauge"is an improvement and seems to be a reasonably accurate charge level indicator. Too early to tell about the life of the battery - my original batteries are still working and after 6 years have a runtime that is 60-70% of what they were new (30 min +/- constant weed-eater use now, from 45 when new). Hoping the new battery with fuel gauge gets as good a life.

Cheapest battery
Thought i would give out before the battery charge but didn't. Bought a back up battery to keep me going. Still out lasted the batteries. Get a longer charge if you can afford to purchase one.

Love the Ego brand. I believe they are quality products although expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. The batteries are a little bit big and heavy, my only complaints.

Barely lasted 45 minutes first time
I was kind of disappointed when it died in just 45 minutes, first time using it. It’s very frustrating when you have to stop mowing, because you run out of battery. I’ll try buying the bigger one, but unfortunately they’re very expensive.
