What is included with our home insulation services?

From start to finish, RONA is with you every step of the way. First, you must submit your information by filling out our online form. We will put you in touch with a professional and qualified installer, with whom you will discuss your project. Once the quote is approved, our service provider will order the materials needed to complete the project and will contact you to schedule the installation. At this point, no cancellation is possible.

On the day of installation, the materials will be delivered to the site, then the installers will contain each room where the insulation work will take place and will protect your belongings. Since your health is our priority, rest assured that our installers will follow our strict health and safety protocols to prevent spread of insulation fibers throughout the house. When the job is finished, your installers will clean up the area with care, will review the applicable warranties with you and fill out a satisfaction form before leaving.

RONA offers a variety of insulation products to meet all your needs

Polyurethane foam

Polyurethane spray foam insulation is a popular and effective choice for home insulation upgrades and airtightness improvements. It is extremely versatile, it lasts a long time, it prevents unwanted air exchange/leakage, it’s heat resistant, and it improves the structural rigidity of the building it is installed in.

Fibreglass

A common and widely used type of insulation, fibreglass is being used in many homes with terrific results. This is due to the affordability and effectiveness of its insulation.

Blown fibre

Blown fibre insulation involves using a hose to blow loose bits of insulation into a specific area. Often made with cellulose and fibreglass, blown fibre insulation is extremely effective when used for insulating an attic.

From the living room to the attic, professionally installed insulation offers benefits for all rooms.

Basement

Strong basement insulation can help reduce the stress put on your furnace, maintain a consistent temperature throughout different rooms, and lower your home’s overall energy consumption. It can also improve airtightness, to prevent damage from moisture and mold. Areas such as crawl spaces and rim joists are often overlooked but are a top priority for effective basement insulation.

Attic

Improve the airtightness of your home’s attic to reduce your utility costs and prevent expensive structural damage. Request a consultation for retrofitting or removing the existing insulation in your attic. Then insulate according to the recommendations in your consultation to prevent unwanted air leakage, lower your home’s energy use, and maintain an enjoyable interior temperature.

Garage

With spray foam insulation you can prevent dangerous fumes and gases from escaping your garage and making their way into your household - such as carbon monoxide.

Entire home

Many types of insulation provide exceptional soundproofing, which makes for a quieter home. Areas where air can leak should be sealed to prevent moisture from building up, and to keep a more consistent interior temperature.

There is no need to be worried about having to tear down a wall to insulate, as a professional insulation installer can use a drill to make small holes between wall studs, and then use them to blow in new insulation to fill the wall cavity – it's called the Drill and Fill method.

Featured frequently asked questions

Installation-related questions
When can you start … and finish?
For small projects, the work is usually done within a few days following the purchase. In the 24 hours following your purchase, our call centre will contact you. Following that, an installer will call to book an appointment with you.

For major projects such as kitchen and bathroom renovations, please allow additional time for essential steps including in-store consultations to create the plan, measuring process, and work order issuance.

Bear in mind that product availability, weather conditions, client availability, and work area conditions may have an impact on project timelines.
How do you ensure that your customers are satisfied?
Throughout the project, we provide constant customer care. Upon project completion, both the installer and customer inspect the work that has been carried out to ensure that it meets the customer’s expectations. If all is approved, the customer signs a work acceptance form. Finally, we contact each customer after the installation is completed asking them to fill out a survey for feedback on the job’s execution.
Are you insured for damage and accidents?
Yes, all RONA installers have liability insurance.
Whom should I call if I have a problem: RONA or the installer?
Please contact RONA’s call centre if your project was a fixed-cost installation: 1-844-454-1454. For a renovation project, please contact the RONA store where the contract was signed.
Do I have to give a deposit?
Yes, a 50% deposit is required when you sign the installation services contract. The remaining 50% must be paid before the work begins. Alternatively, the full amount can be paid when signing the contract.
