Rated 5 out of 5 by dmcushing from Perfect size and weight. Works great. I bought this to clear out some invasive poplars. (1/2" to 2" in diameter) I had tons to clear out and this made short work of them. The chain slipped off once (my fault), but was easily fixed up and ready to run in a few minutes. Battery life was great. I used if for light-duty brush cutting and a couple of hours didn't really dent the battery much. Nice and quiet as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by manlyworken from great chainsaw battery charged, cut several small 8-9 inch diam. pinon trees, sawed up some bigger logs in the firewood pile- it made my expectations and a bit more! seems to be well engineered with some good features that indicate when you're overheated, how much juice you have left. happy not to deal with extension cords or messy,inefficient and bad-for-environment gas saws.

All of the batteries have depleted to the point where I’m lucky to get 15 minutes work on any given task. One battery will not charge at all so this really burned me. The chainsaw is weak and will only embarrass you if you try to do any real work with it. It’s been about a year and a half and currently only my weedeater from ego is worth what I paid. Replacement batteries are insanely priced and unaffordable. Just get the real deal and forget this electric nonsense.

The Bad - a little tricky getting the oil level right, plus no bumper spikes. The Ugly - Nothing really, but I've only used for a couple of sessions. Hope this helps, Scott

Rated 3 out of 5 by Eastside from Good Chain Saw Good Chain Saw when it works, the chain does seem to come off way too easily and often. I've easily cleared tree trunks over 8 inches. It's light weight and the battery delivery lots of speed and power for the job. The safety mechanisms work and stills makes the chain saw easy to use. The ability to swap batteries and continue the work makes this a great chain saw. Now if I could just figure out how to keep the chain from jumping the track.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Craig in Mass from My go-to chain saw. Love it. Love this saw (4 years old). I have two gas powered chain saws but use the EGO 85% of the time. Keep it sharp and it cuts pretty fast. I only use the larger saws for very large trees. I mostly clear trails — cutting fallen trees and branches. The EGO is light and easy to carry. I can take this out in the woods with two batteries and clear trails for two to three hours. With my first saw, the motor burned out after about two years. EGO sent me a new one. That's service.
