Dead at 4 1/2 years…
Worked well but drum needed replacement at 4 1/2 years. Parts and labor for repair = price of new washer…
I had a Kenmore before that lasted 20 years. Seems virtually all washers sold today are INTENTIONALLY designed to fail by 5 years. Consumers and Samsung customers are getting ripped off by corporate greed. Only stockholders and company executives are seemingly important… for whom maximizing short-term profits takes priority over product quality and reliability. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again! I am sure that Samsung will respond by telling me to call customer service. For what? Not going to waste any more time with Samsung.

Broken drum
I like the washer but now the drum is making a horrible noise when spinning and is to the point when I does not work at all. I suppose something behind it broke and wonder if it can be fixed and is under warranty.

Super loud
terrible sound coming from the washer, tech guys came twice and they are both saying that sound is normal, they changed some parts, but after a few months sound is even worse. Do not buy this washer if you have any neighbors living around you

Dead in 4 years
I bought this about 4 years ago. Normal household wear and tear (2 adults, 2 young kids). One of the spider arms has broken, which is a machine killer, as the repair is as expensive as a new machine. I dont think a new washing should be dead w/in 4 years. The warranty is only 1 year. I won't be buying any Samsung appliances in the future.

drain hose leak
after 3 years, water started leaking and then into the floor below. after long discussion with samsung and getting people out to look at it, it was determined that the washer repair and the floor damage were not covered by the warranty. we had the washer drain hose fixed and it worked for another 3 months. now it's leaking again and i'm going to buy a new, different washer now. i should also note that our baby's socks frequently get sucked into the filter, which causes the clothes to not spin dry and emptying the filter is an annoyance. the washer also chewed wholes in lots of baby clothes and ate up laces on shorts.

Lovely little washer!
I'm in a small place and only had space for a 24" washer/dryer. I was nervous about buying a front load washer but I'm so hooked! It's great on energy saving low water consumption and offers features like sanitize and self clean. Most of the time I keep it at cold water wash and my clothes come out perfectly clean!

Very reliable, practical.
I bought it several months ago and it's been reliable and practical. I never thought I'd use all the features, and even though I don't use all of them, I regularly use 4 or 5 and they all come as advertised - very good.
