Best value gas range on the market
I have owned this range for 18 months, so enough time to provide a meaningful review. Having previously a Thermador gas range, I find this GE range to be every bit as capable, and at a fraction of the cost. It is a basic, no-frills range that offers excellent heat control, reliability and good looks. There is no convection, nor any self-clean feature. The steam clean does not really work effectively, so taking steps ro keep the oven clean and clearing spills as they happen are the rule of thumb with this range.
That being said, it performs incredibly well. Even heat distribution in the oven , quick heating times, and a useful variety of burner strengths make it easy to tackle any cooking requirements we have. Wd are not gourmet cooks by any stretch but it is versatile enough to handle anything we throw at it. We purchased an after market center grill rack to replace the griddle that comes with it, as we found no real usefulness for that.
Would highly recommend. Great product. The control panel is plastic and not covered by glass, so that is the only piece I am worried might not be durable enough. If it was glass, this would be a 5 star range.
