Fragile filler
Bought this last year and was well pleased with it. Easy to clean and refill. The cap was a bit awkward to thread on, but overall well pleased. This year however the cap, as usual, started off cross threaded, only this time a substantial piece of the threaded neck broke off. So now it's virtually useless. Not what I expect from Sunbeam.

What Medicine Cup?
I have been sick for a week and we picked this humidifier up for me. We also picked up Vicks Vapo Steam. With past humidifiers, I have just had to dump it in the water, but the instructions say not to do that with this humidifier. With a poorly labelled diagram, it says to put it in the medicine cup. What is the medicine cup? Is it that little bowl-thing above the vent? Thats where I put my vicks and it did nothing. Are you supposed to dump it in the vents? I read a comment that said the medicine cup was on the BACK? I am so confused. Someone tell me how to fix this and I will change my review.

Doesn’t work
I just bought this product today and set it all up. It worked great for about 10 minutes and then the automatic shutoff light came on. I waited the 15 minutes, got it going again and then the same thing happened. It just shutoff after 10 minutes and now I can’t get it going again at all. The light just comes on and it won’t run. Bad humidifier! I am very disappointed.

Poor Construction.
I love the way the heating element is set up and that cleaning it is a breeze with out having to take any extra parts apart and clean separately.
Unfortunately,the tank construction sucks. with in a month, the main ring seal for the lid started leaking requiring the tank to be carried lid up until time to place the tank in the machine. This process has caused stress cracks in the tank fro when I use my thumb to balance it while in transit. With in 4 1/2 to 5 months, the whole base of the tank is starting to come off causing even more leakage, but fortunately the humidifier still works for now. A larger Tank would be nice as this one runs out at around 7 to 8 hours on high, My more problem cleaning one lasted 12hr on high and 24hrd on low.

Easy to fill and operate.
I was looking to replace another Holmes humidifier which stopped working. I saw this one and hopefully it will last as long as the other one! So far, I really like it.

This little unit does my whole house
I've been using one these units for a year now. It's a great little work horse, well made, efficient, and easy to clean (I use vinegar). It only runs about 6 hours or so on high, so you need to refill it a lot. On low, it goes all day. I only wish the reservoir was larger. You need to know that it's either on or off - it doesn't have a meter that regulates the humidity. The steam is hot, so keep it out of reach of small children.

Warmer Room
I have been using this warm mist humidifier for 4 weeks. Great output and also helps keep the room warmer so my heater doesn't come on as much. I have even seen it raise the temp of the room by a few degrees. I'm asmatic and also the full tank of water is not too heavy for me to fill.
