Rated 5 out of 5 by GreenAitch from OK for Indoor 110V Heater I Had a 16-Gauge Extension for an Indoor 110V Heater and It Was Heating-up. Since I Have my 2 Air Conditioners "ON" with 2 x 14-Gauge Extensions Like the Present One, and, as Most People Know, Window Air Conditioner Manufacturers Are Paranoid About NOT Using an Extension and IF You Absolutely Need to Use One, Make Sure Its a Heavy Duty Grounded One. As "Heavy Duty" Is Kinda Vague, I Telephoned the Company that Makes Mine and They Told Me a 14-Gauge Could Be Used and That Would NOT Heat-up. I reasoned that IF a 14-Gauge Was Good Enough for Air Conditioners, It Should Be Okay for an Indoor Auxiliary Portable Heater (NOT for Baseboard Heaters as Most of Those Run on 220V Anyway). Sooo, I Ordered this Model which Is at a Most Reasonable Price. After All, a 14-Gauge Insulated and Grounded Extension HAS to Be Approved by Some Recognized Institution like SCC in Canada or ANSI in the US and No Matter What, a14-Gauge Extension Is a 14-Gauge Extension. As Expected, THIS Extension does NOT Even Get Warm - Let Alone Hot - When Plugged Into the Wall Outlet and with the Indoor Heater Plugged Into It and Running Non-Stop for Hours. Bottom Line = It Does the Job Marvelously and Is Trouble Free. I Will Re-Buy This Very Same Model If and When the Need Arises. I Am Extremely Satisfied. Helen Richard - Montreal - Quebec - Canada
