Feels Tough, Dark Color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After looking at, walking on, and spilling liquids on this deck board sample I would definitely consider it if I was in the market for new decking for our home. The thing I like the most is that the board itself is covered with a plastic-like cover, making it weatherproof. It also means no more cleaning and painting every year. It does resemble a real-life board but you can tell it is not. It appears to be made of a thick press board that is coated and shaped to look like regular deck boarding, either grooved or square edge. I also like that there are many colors to choose from, either a dark or light to match your style. I like the lighter color myself, Trex Tiki Torch.

This deck board is really sturdy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent a piece of deck board. This color is a dark brown. It is very heavy. Very good quality. We have a yellow home. It looks nice. They advertise fade and stain resistance for 25 years. This is a high performance composite. It will make a beautiful deck!

Another Durable Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a very durable board. It doesn't scratch easily, nor splinter easily either. It's a very dense quality. Appears to have a good UV coating. Very heavy weight per foot. I believe that you'd have to have a very sturdy frame to accommodate this material.

A Smart Choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trex transcend deck boards are beautiful, tough, and good for the environment. They are 95 percent recycled products, and have a 25-year warranty. Lava Rock is a gorgeous deep brown with darker color variations and a natural looking grain. This product is pricey, but well worth the investment.
