I recently purchased this lawn mower: https://www.lowes.ca/product/330968655 which came with the battery. Will that battery be compatible with this particular string trimmer?
Hello KunalG - Our 40V battery cannot be used with an 24V units and vice versa. Greenworks manufactures a range of voltage platforms from 24V - 80V, each voltage platform has its own set of interchangeable tools and battery but are not interchangeable across different voltage platforms. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another.

Terrible Line Feeder
The bump feed gets stuck routinely and the strength of the tool is fairly weak. I gave it one season to win me over, but it never did. I will be purchasing a new trimmer next year.

String feed is lousy
This is the 2nd trimmer I've purchased - the first one (I thought was single string, it was a duel. Guess it was my error. The 2nd one I just received on the 15th.) Just began to edge and the string was gone? Tried to get it to feed per instruction book - nothing. I am a 75 year old female and have been dragging a corded trimmer around. Thought how nice and easy this would be! Wrong! I couldn ' t get the spool lid off, my 78 year old dis-abled husband helped, got the line back out. Five minutes using it the same thing happened.
I have a Greenworks mower and blower that I love, so figured the string trimmer would be great too!
Definitely not happy and do not recommend it.

Lightweight, easy to use, plenty of power for small jobs
I bought this trimmer one month ago and have used it weekly to clean up the edging around my yard. It is lightweight, easy to use, and has plenty of power and charge to clean up my entire (small) yard. For those looking for an affordable, eco yard-trimming solution, I recommend it.

Women will love it!
Great for a small yard. Easy to handle and start. I wasn’t great at edging at first but have the hang of it now and my yard looks perfectly manicured. Love the fact that it is battery operated. I have the Greenworks mower and love it. Thank you Greenworks for great products.

Great for edging sidewalks as well as tough to reach areas!
Works great, pairs with my mower. Really like the swivel functionality for edging. Lightweight and effective. Battery life is more than i need.
