Description
This 6-inch back draft damper by Atmosphere® is manufactured with galvanized steel and can be mounted directly in the ventilation duct to ease the installation. Is this damper cUL certified? I want to install it in the closet where Tesla batteries are stored and need dampers in case of fire as per Ontario Building Code.

not the same as the picture shows
hard to review when it isnt the same as the picture. The same problem when I ordered one from another online retailer so the issue is with the manufacturer. this is what they sent me.

Back Draft Damper is AWESOME
Fantastic contraption!!! I am nearly certain that this will eliminate the banging from the metal fins/damper within my microwave/range hood combo. The typical vent cover louvers won't stop winter winds from entering the 6" pipe when the range hood fan isn't running (which is MOST of the time).
Now, with this Atmosphere back draft damper -- problem solved!
One installation note. The neoprene gasket makes for a VERY tight fit (which is a good thing). When installing, be sure to use two pairs of grips (or some other tool to push from each side of the damper) and gloves to avoid cutting your fingers.
An absolutely FABULOUS back draft damper. Thank you Atmosphere, and Lowes Canada for providing this spectacular product.
