can switch to steel handle
A Google search and Rona has best price in Canada + a 15% promo discount. I've used tools like this B4. wood and fiberglass handle gives a little flex for less stress however a steel handle can improve digging capability but with little more effort. A steel tubing cut to size can easily replace fg handle. The tool is heavy duty and have some weight to crush tree roots and small rocks. It's hard work but a good work out and doesn't matter how long to dig a hole. Ask a contractor how much he'll charge and you'll love the tool.

Works well for shallow holes 30 inches or less.. For deeper holes your might have to widen the top.
