Great bidet-compatible toilet seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having had this toilet seat for a few months now, I can clearly say that this is clearly a winner. It replaces another slow-close American Standard seat that I purchased for my H2Option dual flush toilet, and this is an improvement in both durability and ease of cleaning, with a minor knock on installation. The installation of the toilet seat I found was less intuitive and slower than my older seat model - they've gone from using easy-screw nylon nuts to either top or bottom mount screws/bolts. The Top Mount option is intriguing and I can see why they've offered it as a potentially simpler install, but alas, only bottom mount was compatible with my bidet attachment (screw length was too short with Top Mount). Without the bidet attachment, the top mount worked OK, but I'd question the long-term durability. The new mounting hardware vs. my old American standard mounting hardware didn't seem to net any major advantages - if anything, I'd say that there was slightly less seat shifting with the older style. Instructions to mount the seat are poor - it needs better pictures of the install! I had to reinstall the seat because of this (hard to tell proper hinge orientation from the pictures). Overall durability/quality is excellent - there's more plastic and rigidity to this seat cover vs. my prior seat cover (my older one cracked a little near the bottom "feet" where it makes contact with the toilet bowl rim). The best feature that grew on me over time was the dual push button release - simply take off the seat, place in shower, spray the whole assembly with cleaner and hose down the entire seat in the shower. Wipe to dry and reinstall. Ingenious time saver! As for comfort and looks - I think a transitional seat is easier to lift up than a telescoping seat. Overall, I'm very pleased with the seat and hope to use it for years to come.

Very nice seat with quality build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Transitional Elongated seat is a very well constructed seat. It is very solid and sturdy. The bumpers are very adequate and keeps it from bowing. It is very easy to remove for cleaning as well. You can even remove the screw cover to clean under it. The mounting system is very nice too. I am very happy with this seat.

Features that distinguish it from other
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What makes a toilet seat different from others when they all fit your toilet? Well American Standard has the answer. Open the packaging and you’ll see that you have the option to top mount or bottom mount. Both mounts offer a firm secure platform that provides the seat that won’t shift around. Then the seat snaps on and is easily removed for cleaning. No tool required for removing the seat. The seat and lid are slow close so no more banging when someone lets go the seat too soon. The seat has a “stay clean” surface. The appearance of the seat and lid are fairly traditional so I don’t understand the Transitional name but in all other ways, this product distinguishes itself. I found this product comfortable when using, very easy to clean and the slow close feature terrific.

Love the slow close feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy install, nice looking, but best of all the slow close toilet is the best feature. No noise from a dropped seat in the middle of the night to awake the spouse and the lid is also slow close. See photos for it in mid close.

Very comfortable seat !!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seat is flatter on the seating surface , easy to install, and comes off fast for cleaning !
Compared to the seat that came with my Champion toilet that I've had for about one year.
That seat has a more rounded seating surface that is not as comfortable and does not
remove for cleaning. Both seats look the same with the lid down with no seat showing. A GREAT IMPROVEMENT, The first two photos are of the old seat, the second two are of the new seat. Notice the seat mounting adapter mounted to the toilet with the seat removed, the fifth photo is with the lid down !!
