SO FUN
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm enjoying this Glass and Stone Kit very much. I've been working on some glass etching as well as bead jewelry. Drilling holes or enlarging them on beads can be difficult, the diamond drill flip bit worked very well and it is a clever way to get two sizes of drill bits in one. I had lots of fun working with this kit, it seems to be very versatile and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you are looking for a small start kit.

This kit open new doors for crafting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a dabbler who has never tried carving or grinding stone or glass. These bits made it easy to do both. It will take some practice to do fine detail work, but this kit has opened new doors for projects.

Excellent accessories
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of this product is nice and compact, but could have been even smaller. When I purchase these replacement accessories, I want the case to take up as little room in my supply area as possible. The grinding wheels perform exactly as expected, particularly on broken car parts that need to be removed in non-traditional manners. I only wish that the grinding wheels could last a little longer. The engraving bits are good and precise and perform even better with more and more practice. The drill bits are good, but a little awkward depending on the angle.

Great kit for starting with glass etching and more
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will start my review by saying that I have no talent when it comes to decorating things. I chose to use an old ash tray to work on, since the glass is thick and I used a light touch to do the decorating on the ashtray. The bits and wheels that came in the box are of decent quality, with the exception of the two tools located to the right of the wrench in picture 2. I found these to be so similar to ones found on AliExpress tools. I found that these "diamond" coated bits are very soft and bend at the first heavy usage. The two green grinding wheels are really the star of the show when it comes to decorating glass. They dig into the surface of the glass, but not as aggressively as the small ball grinding bit. I was able to do all the drawing freehand utilizing my Dremel 4000. I ran the speed at 15K or so, using a light touch. The two gray wheels are probably my favorite Dremel tools. They are so useful for polishing metals, even pieces with a lot of rust and scale.
I have submitted my project below showing my 1st grader artwork. The initials on the ashtray were there before I started, and the ashtray was in my house when we purchased it, so I do not know anything about it. When I finished with the ashtray, and thought that it turned out nicely, I decided to use the ball tipped bit to made a modification to the shift knob I am putting on my MGB. As you can see I added the gate for a fifth gear. I am installing a five speed gearbox into the 57 year old car to give her a bit more drive ability.
The reason I gave this kit four stars instead of five is that they included two pretty much useless bits (in my opinion) and also for having packaging that is really huge compared to the actual bits that you get.

Dremel Glass and Stone Carving Kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a huge Dremel fan- always have been - and have always had good things to say about them and their tools. The accessories for the tools-,the rotary tools that is,- I’ve always found to be a bit lacking in sustainability. And this carving set was exactly that. Now I know I’m a little hard on my tools, but probably not much more than the next guy, and I search out the stronger items for this fact. My experience with Dremel rotary accessories taught me long ago that for my style, I’d need to look elsewhere for a product that would last. When I accepted this review, it had been a pretty long time since I’d used an actual Dremel accessory, and was curious if the durability had gotten better. Upon opening the kit, the pieces looked like they hadn’t changed from what I’d remembered, but i was pleased to see a chart included specifically describing what each piece was for. This seamed very helpful- and indeed it was. I immediately got to work with them carving my initials into a rock i was using as a placard for a lobster carving I’d previously completed. I worked a couple hours a day for about three days, and surprisingly most the pieces did pretty good- except for one. One accessory was double sided- one end a bit bigger than the other - and was maybe the most aggressive in the kit. At least, that’s how I used it. Until it broke. I wanted to assume responsibility for that until I flipped it around and within a minute, the other side broke. Kinda what I remembered from the past. I eventually finished the carving using this kit and a couple accessories I’d had already. My overall opinion of the
DREMEL Stone and Glass Carving Kit is pretty much what I’ve always said about Dremel’s accessory line: They make the accessories that show you what the tool is capable of. And I think that there’s a huge difference in how they expect the tool to be used and how it’s actually used- at least in my case anyway. For little dainty , quick , not too much to them jobs around the house- this kit, as well as most all the Dremel Brand accessories- will be all you’ll need. But if you actually ‘use’ the tool… as a tool…your going to need to familiarize yourself with a third party accessory provider.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kit is very neat, Packaged very well and complete with the wrench. Engraving is something I have never done. I tried it on stone and glass. I was amazed I was follow the lines wife drew. I didn't expect it to be so easy. I'm old and can't hardly use my scroll saw any more. These made it easy to engrave in stone and glass. I will not include any pictures cause you can tell my hands shake. I would recommend this to every one. It is a bit pricey but well worth it if you engrave.
