Killed my new cedars
I wish I came here and read the reviews before using these spikes on my newly planted emerald cedars.
The cedars were doing very well all summer until I decided to use these spikes after seeing s video on youtube. The cedars started to turn brown one month after Using them.

Don't use these on new cedars!
I used these spikes with 3 new Emerald cedars. Within a month the cedars began to turn reddish brown, I ensured they had plenty of water, good mulch, not too much. Within another month, the cedars are 90% red/brown. After some research I read that these can cause overfertilizing (strong) which can cause moisture loss due to the salt content, leading to the red/brown leaves. I'm not sure if I lost these cedars, still trying to recover them (hoping).
