Description
Crescent Lufkin chalk reels come with many convenient features to easily create the most perfect lines on the jobsite. With a one-way refill valve and a quarter-turn removable top, filling the chalk reel is quick and leaves no mess. A one-hand hub lock keeps the reel firmly locked and the end hook clips securely into a storage recess so it won't catch on other items in your tool bag. With a 6:1 gear ratio, retraction is fast and the compound braided line improves chalk retention for well-defined lines and reduced over spray, snap after snap. This Crescent Lufkin marking chalk makes a brighter, more visible blue line no matter the lighting or surface type.

Can't slip hook over a nail
I bought this chalk line because I liked the idea of the nesting hook. Lufkin made a huge oversight when designing the hook for this chalk line. The hole in the hook is TOO SMALL to slip over the head of a common framing nail or even the smaller 2-1/4" nail head. When I'm working alone and need to snap a line often the only way is to tack a nail on the mark then slip the line over the head of the nail and walk to my other mark. YOU CANNOT DO THIS WITH THIS LINE HOOK. This is a huge flaw in the design and I do not recommend buying this line.
I also found that my quick fill access won't close properly and now the line leaks chalk everywhere I go.
