The First Alert(R) battery-operated smoke detector utilizes both photoelectric and ionization sensors making it the most powerful alarm. The alarm reliably detects fast flaming fires and smouldering fires. It is equipped with a mute button, which silences unnecessary alarms often caused by cooking smoke and shower steam. This product is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.

Great smoke detector !
This smoke detector has both kinds of detectors - for all types of fires - smoldering and flash fires. Best option in my mind. Only downside is that you will have to change batteries every couple of years or so. A good price for the detector as well.
