Description
The new range of DEWALT 20 V Max XR tools with Powerdetect technology maximize performance when used with high-capacity XR batteries. Using a 20 V Max 8 AH battery, this variable speed circular saw will output up to 54% more power and get 60% more runtime than the standard XR circular saw. Maximum depth of cut of 2 9/16-in at a 90°, and maximum depth of cut of 2-in at a 45°. Other features include a 57° bevel capacity, an aluminum shoe, and an electric brake that stops the blade after the trigger is released. Integrated LED for increased visibility and cut accuracy. Tool only, battery sold separately.

JUST A BEAST!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] NO MORE extension cords without sacrificing power! This DEWALT cordless circular saw worked FLAWLESSLY in reframing our kitchen's back door. OMG! I was absolutely blown away when I made my first 2X4 stud cutting. This saw cut through it like butter as it did with the next cut and the next and the next. CHOMP! CHOMP! CHOMP! I already have a pretty good assortment of DEWALT batteries on hand from other projects; however, this circular saw DOES go through batteries "fairly" quickly but not absurdly so. DEWALT batteries will provide a "FAIR" amount of usage for the job at hand with the benefit of NOT having to be limited by the length of extension cords AND possibly tripping over them, as well. For DIY homeowner projects, I would HIGHLY recommend the DEWALT 20V Brushless Circular Saw. Can't wait to build a new deer stand deep in the woods with this product and leave the chainsaw at home!

BEAST!
This saw is a BEAST! It is fast and strong. I have yet to feel it binding. Amazingly easy on the battery as well. Blade change is a snap, blade guard, changing degree of cut is very easy with accurate & ergonomically designed levers.
It came with an 8.0 battery and fast Charger. Very pleased.

Favorite saw out of three
Saw is great for when you don't want to break out the extension cords. I even use it to rip boards if it's not to many. It is also a very easy saw to cut straight with. I even like it better than milwaukee

I only wish they would have had the packages that included a proper sized battery and charger. Super pain to try and locate an 8A or higher battery to make it work right. Great saw, though.

missing rip fence
I purchased the large suitcase tool combination which included the circular saw. When I attempted to set up for ripping some boards I could not locate the rip fence. My question is: Should there be one that came with the saw or is the rip fence a separately purchased item? The dealer didn't seem to know?

Good Cordless Saw
I bought this saw after carefully reading many reviews. I am building my cordless arsenal mainly for cordless convenience. This saw is pretty powerful for a cordless tool. It does the job needed and the battery life is good. I have various 6AH and 8AH batteries for my Dewalt tools. I am eager to use this saw on my next big project.

Great for rough cuts
I've used this thing so much that my review may not be representative for a lighter user. Power has never been an issue. It cuts every bit of wood, plastic, pvc, and aluminum I've thrown at it. One thing I'm not thrilled with is that I find it hard to keep a 90 degree lock on the blade angle. I set it with my square, confirm with my digital scale, and then find I'm off a degrees after a few cuts. It seems to stay at that offset and not shift but there is a consistent shift. Overall, probably still the best saw you can buy for the money.

Great all around saw!
I use this saw for everything. I had this for about 4 years now and never had any issues.
I do recommend bigger batteries to get though harder wood but this saw saved me so many times without there being power on the job or a quick cut love it.
