Better than plumbers putty
I use this all the time when doing plumbing. Great to seat around taps and to seat drains against sink. Peels off in a 1/8" strip that you wrap around anything. It's not messy and wont stick or make your fingers greasy. Haven't tried it as a draft seal but it probably works on small cracks..
