Description
This Broan-NuTone wall mount chimney range hood features 4 speeds and 640 CFM max blower to quickly remove smoke, grease, and odours from your kitchen at a quiet noise level of < 0.3 sone at normal speed. With a bright 2-level LED lighting, capacitive touch controls, and a 15-minute delay setting, this wall mount range hood makes cooking a breeze. The two hybrid baffle filters are dishwasher-safe with a quick-release latch, while the optional telescopic flue extension accommodates 9 to 10 foot ceilings!

Do Not Buy
Worked for six months than fan gave out. Sounds like an airplane taking off. Have been trying for two months for Abt Appliances to service but continue to get the run around. I am told Abt is waiting for a better ETA on the part when asked what the current ETA is I am told they do not have one. What good is a warranty if Broan will not supply parts to provide service? Broan & Abt continues to sell new models but no parts to fix the ones that they
are responsible for. Meanwhile, the twelve month warranty is running out.

Shipped in CRT mode, capped speed
I received this hood last week and had it professionally installed yesterday. After installation we realized it only cycles through speed 1,2,3. No 4th speed. According to the instruction manual this means the device is in CRT 300 or 400 mode (no telling which one). However, we NEVER activated this mode. I am not even sure how to. Now we are working on a return ($$) and will need to pay for another unit to be installed (more $$).
Very disappointed this made it through Broan's QA process.

Overpowered, a true asset to the kitchen and home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm highly satisfied with Broan's stainless steel pyramidal chimney range hood. Installation instructions are comprehensive and I found them to be precise. At 30" in width, it is a space-conscious solution that performs well under pressure. It features touch controls, two light settings (low is bright, bright is blinding... which is a good thing), and quiet operation. It is ideal for a standard size range and provides a mind-numbing 640 CFM exhaust rating. If I had two ranges, I would still be far into the clear for safe air quality. I appreciate that there is a vent-free package, sold separately, for kitchens that are lacking in ductwork such as mine. This optional kit makes all the difference by effectively filtering the air without needing external exhaust. I found the flue to be of an appropriate size for my ceilings, which are just short of 9 feet. I think the remote should have been included, but it's not a dealbreaker, or in any way necessary for operation.
A range hood does far more than complete a kitchen's look. It makes a measurable difference in air quality, which has a direct impact on overall health. Indoor pollution can be anywhere from 2 to 5 times more intense than outdoor pollution, according to the EPA. A commercial kitchen, and/or intensively used household kitchen, should have a minimum 350 CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating for exhaust. It's a little more complicated than that, but that gives you an estimate to start with. This range hood can handle holiday-level cooking every day of the year, just give the filter a check-up every so often. It's more than a sleek piece of eye candy for your cooking space; it helps to ensure both good air quality and health for years to come.

Whhhhooooa!

As this was a diy kitchen upgrade I was looking for the most bang for my buck as well as projects I could complete with out help. I quickly decided a new upgraded range hood was priority one. This one is Ike a diamond for the kitchen. It's the first thing you notice when you walk in the room and with good reason. It is stunning. Beyond that it works perfectly and man is it quiet compared to my old one. I can't believe I didn't do this years ago.

The filter is easy to remove and clean. Instruction were great and it was fairly easy to install. Very sleek and gave our kitchen such a classier look!

It took 3 of us to get it attached. I love the bright LED lighting and the 4 speed fan. It is super quiet also! Just wonderful, I highly recommend if you like modern!
