Some of the bits in the set work excellent and others do NOT. The 5/16" Bit completely wore out after roughly 10 holes. Is this something other customers have experienced? How do I get this bit replaced free-of-charge?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough bits for drilling hardened steel. I am replacing a set of these that I have had for 16 years. There are no permanent drill bits. These stay on center when drilling hardened steel and do not dull easily. In case you didn't know, Cobalt added to the composition keeps the bit from dulling easily as it heats up. Like they do when drilling hardened steel. The machinists I have worked with referenced this quality as "red hardness". If you are drilling wood or softer materials, less expensive drills will do a fine job. Keep these stashed away for tough jobs like drilling a broken off, hardened bolt out of an engine block.
