Simple Solution
This was a replacement for the same device 30 years old. The old one still worked but keypad was getting old and getting hard to push. The new one works great and I am very happy.

Misrepresented
Got this for a Christmas present. Spent 2 days trying to get it programmed to work with a Liftmaster GDO. Contacted Skylink and they told me to reset the G5K and sent me the instructions on how to do it. Takes about 2 hours. Still was not able to get the GDO to accept the PIN. Contacted Skylink for the 3rd time and they told that the G5K would only work on Liftmaster GDO that was less than 12 years old. The packaging for the G5K says it will work for Liftmaster GDO since 1983. Still waiting for an explanation from them. The unit that I have is only 25 years old and according to their packaging it should work for anything up to 37 years old not 12. Now they tell me I need to buy a more expensive unit AND a receiver to go with it. Not happy!!!!!! Would definitely recommend NOT buying this product

highly recommend this product
I just bought this unit it was easy to install and program once you figure it out which jumpers and frequency that year unit needed to be set to this quite easy to program after that an installation is simple two screws on the outside of the garage door. I tried another product first and it would not program at all to either of my door openers had to return it
