More of a top coat.
This product is more of a finish on an existing similar color. For example, it took three coats to cover up a black chair and I can still see the black underlying.
What I would have done differently is painted the object solid seafoam and then sprayed this over top.
Also, this can only contains 312 G. Not very much compared to other spray cans. Ran out pretty fast.
It sure is a pretty color though!
