This is NOT auto propulsion but assistance propul
Do not buy this if you looking for auto propulsion. I bought this and had to return exchange it. they almost didnt want to take it back cos I used and tried it! This is NOT auto propulsion like the other models but this is more like an assistance propulsion. The minute you stop pushing it stops moving forward. therefore you have to continually push and the mower will assist you. when you have to turn curves (which can happen very often) it stops assisting you. Even though it does help, expect to feel more tired at the end as compared to the other models that truly are auto propulsion, which means that when you press the button with the finger it moves forward automatically without any single effort. The marketing terms (auto propulsion) are falsely used and leads to misinterpretation, which is unacceptable. if you want auto propulsion, better go with this model LM2156SP. the IQ stuff is so badly conceived. it is annoying to not being able to adjust to the right speed easily. The company would have to provide more details about its true functioning method.

Speed IQ - safety hazard
Purchased this mower after my 6 month old Toro was having issues. Bought this and expected superior battery performance. - barely cuts my 10500 ft2 lot and not using Turbo option….and the Speed IQ is a serious safety hazard. It constantly just takes off at a much higher speed than I am walking and this causes the front wheels to raise up off the ground. Thought it was weight in the bag but not the case- seems to happen whenever it wants to do it.

I bought this mower late last season because it's getting harder to pull start a gas mower. I was Not happy with it then but wanted to give it a fair shot this year. If I could rate it lower than 1 star I would. In 50+ years of mowing it is without a doubt the worst mower I have ever used. My lawn has several triangular areas and it is horrible trying to turn. I can't imagine the drive will last as the wheels try to keep driving or lock up when I try to back up or turn. I have a few small hills and the IQ drive thinks I'm walking faster when I go up hill and it takes off faster than I'm walking. The rear wheel drive does not allow you to lift the wheels to turn. With my old gas front wheel drive I could lift the drive wheels to make a turn then put them back down to drive on. If the EGO was front wheel drive it would be better. My issue is not with battery or power just the horrible drive characteristics. Warning if you can try one before you buy.

J'ai acheter ce produit a l'automne et je viens de la sortir pour la première fois ce printemps. Je suis super satisfait avec ma tondeuse, la batterie ce charge dans moins d'une heure, super. Je dois quand même mentionné que j'ai eu peur quand je l'avais arrêter pour aller tonde la cour arrière, j'avais la difficulté a la repartir, il as fallut que j'enlève la batterie et la remettre pour la partir. Je l'ai pris justement aujourd'hui pour la deuxième fois et cette fois toute a très bien été, sans problème.

Great cutting, bad drive system
Overall power and cutting is amazing. My only negative on this mower is the drive system. I thought I would like switching from the touch drive to the smart auto detecting speed - but it is AWFUL. there is times that it doesn't seem to detect my speed, and other times it just takes off on me - causing me to walk backwards to redo because when it takes off the heigh goes up.

Speed IQ is useless
Cannot use speed IQ. It takes off suddenly causing the mower to rear up, which is not only dangerous, but skips over the grass being cut.
