  • A high-speed cutter made of tungsten carbide, the hardest material next to diamonds
  • Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics
  • Use the sides of the cutter (rather than the tip) for effective cutting
  • Do not use this cutter for drilling holes or for enlarging holes that are less than twice the diameter of the cutter
  • The tungsten carbide surface can easily catch the side of a hole and break the bit
  • Insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down
  • This provides plenty of shank for the collet or chuck to hold onto the bit
  • Use higher speeds for hard woods, slower speeds for metals and very slow speeds for plastics (to avoid melting at the point of contact)
  • Bit Diameter: 1/8"
  • Shank Diameter: 1/8"
  • Can Be Used on Brick: No

Dremel 9903 1-1/4-in Tungsten Carbide Cutter is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work on ceramic I have a small ceramic plant pot with no drainage hole, bought this tungsten bit because it specifically states it can be used on fired ceramics, well, after almost an hour of attempts, it has barely made a tiny hole in the surface. Maybe it should state it can only cut through paper. Waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Product I bought this product about 3 weeks ago. Used to shape and cut a door frame made of aluminum. Did 2 doors and it broke in half when used at slow speed. I believe this carbide drill bit is made out very cheap materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved My Bacon As another reviewer did, used this to grind out a broken extractor. After successfully doing that, used it to re-center where a drill had walked off center in a hardened metric cylinder head bolt. The flutes on the same burr are still sharp enough to "bite" into my thumbnail. I am impressed with this high quality burr! Been using Dremel tools since my dad gave me one in 1975, and they still work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best bit ever, an alternative to the RescueBit This is great for grinding out broken bolts and even the hardest broken off screw extractors.
