Description
The DK2 with drive up gate is a single axle multi-utility galvanized trailer and one of the most versatile trailers on the market. Sitting on a solid square tube cambered axle with 12 in. 6-ply bias highway rated tires and a load capacity of 1,639 lbs. When the front and back load-bearing gates are down, the trailer bed extends to nearly 11.58 ft. Another great feature is the tilt/dump capability that makes it easy to load or unload heavy items. Does the rear drive up gate lock horizontally? Does it drop forward into the bed? I am hoping to transport a kayak flat on the bed (among other things)

Does it come with the small 3rd wheel? When we went to pick up this trailer tonight our Rona said it doesn’t come with it?

No, it is not assembled. Not really the most complicated thing to do, but some mechanical aptitude is somewhat necessary.

Great features.... as far as it goes.
This should be a 5 star trailer. It's the most versatile utility trailer I've ever owned. The drive up gate will hold 1,000#. So it works well for my mobility scooter which was my main reason for wanting a drive up gate. Putting on the regular tailgate and lowering it and my front gate extends the trailer to 11.5' which works well with my 12' kayak. The dump feature is an added bonus. So....why only 4 stars? It has no tiedown anchors. I wanted the galvenized trailer because of the rust inhibiting feature. However, once I drill into the steel it ruins the integrity of the galvanizing. I'll spray some paint on the hole prior to tightening down the anchor and hope it will slow down any rust.

Very handy and versatile little trailer
I was looking for something small that I could tow behind my small SUV to replace having a pickup. I wanted bin walls for hauling loose material but also wanted something big enough to haul sheets of plywood, etc. I was having a hard time finding the right trailer that was small and light, had bin walls and at the same time was big enough for the larger stuff. This trailer is perfect because of the versatility of the front and rear gates that can be easily laid flat for lumber or other items that are longer than the bed and the removable side walls if you have something a little wider than the trailer. Will all the walls and gates up it is nicely enclosed for hauling loose top soil or mulch. The bed tilts which makes it easy to load and unload my riding mower. There are plenty of places to fasten tie downs no matter what configuration you’re in. And it has a decent towing capacity for its size! It checks all the boxes to do whatever I need to do and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Great Purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this trailer about two years ago. It cam unassembled and was easy to construct. I use it o haul brush and yard waste to our local dump and with the drive up gates allows me to move my snow blower, lawn mowers and zero turn in for maintenance,. The galvanized version is stored outside with no signs of corrosion. I Love it.

Best trailer I've owned
I've owned two previous trailers and the design of the DK2 is the best I've seen. It is very versatile, light weight and well built. Assembly wasn't difficult and everything fit together well. The directions have been updated so get the latest version. Registering was the most hassle. DK2 had to send me a new cert. of origin since the one that came with the trailer wasn't accepted by the DMV. The regular rear gate was included with the DUG which I didn't expect and a nice surprise! I replaced the gate bottom bolts with D Clips like on the gate top to switch out the gates faster. I mounted the license plate behind the left fender so it doesn't interfere when using the dump bed. I bought safety chains with clips on the hooks for a little extra security. My previous trailers were powder coated and rusted, so I'm hoping it won't happen with the galvanized. I've used the trailer a couple times now and am very pleased. I rarely write reviews, but felt I had to for such a good product.

Product arrived 12-4-23 and had it fully assembled within 2 hours w/ upgraded drive up rear ramp / tailgate and spare tire..directions clear and prep by manufacturer was excellent with hole alignment dead on…great value and able to move around with one hand…

Freight delivery guy was great. Went the extra mile to get the skid near my gate, He had to back up a good 3/10+ mile to do it. nice guy1
However the trailer had some issues. The skid had been bust somewhere along the line. numerous bends in the metal at the end of the bottom panel where the side panels went in were bent.
One square hole for the panel was so badly welded it looked like an oval not a square! really guys? I had to use a small sledge hammer to hammer out numerous bent metal pieces to make it all fit. tolerances were way off. back load fate has huge gap and the notches are not even close.
