High Carbon Steel Fractional Plug Tap - 1/4-in - 28 NC

This 1/4'' - 28 NC (0.6 cm) tap is made of tough carbon alloy tool steel. Resists rust and tarnish. Its four-flute design on all plug taps ensures fast and easy chip clearance. It is ideal for cutting right-hand internal threads. Plug taps have 3 to 5 threads chamfered for general purpose applications when tapping to the bottom of a hole is not critical. Required drill size is permanently etched on the tool for quick and easy reference.
