Ditto on the length and unable to attach on studs with 16" on center. How in the world could an educated adult think this would work. Fire the engineer and the CEO! Do not buy the railing till its fixed.

Great product - some installation suggestions
I love the FastTrack system. I had a ton of this in my previous house. Now have a few rails in my current house. The rails are excellent and it's a great system. I have hooks, wire baskets, plastic baskets, a ball holder, and other stuff I'm forgetting. All around a very nice system.
I am seeing complaints about not being able to buy individual items. Not sure which these are - I see many hooks and other individual items available at big box stores. Compact hook, handle hook, hose hook, power tool hook, ladder hook, utility hook, bike hook - everything I checked is available individually. What's the issue?
Rubbermaid, please refrain from the "Sorry you had a bad experience" replies. They say nothing and show no read concern for people's issues. And NO ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED in the replies - what is the point of replying? Do better.
For those complaining that the holes in the rails are not centered at 16" intervals at the end, how could they be? You can't have a hole right at the end. And they need to be able to be installed adjacent to each other. I had rails running 24' feet in my previous house.
There are several options to address this issue, and I'm disappointed that Rubbermaid didn't recommend any of these. You can align your rails so that only ~8" is beyond any stud. Unless there is a lot of weight at the end, it will work. Put the heavy items between the screw points.
Second, use anchors. Yes, they will hold less weight. But for 8" of rail it should be fine.
Third, if you're that worried about it, put a 2x4 on the wall and screw it to the studs. Then put your FastTrack rail on the 2x4.
The instructions really should be more clear and should include these options. I get that they are confusing.
Rubbermaid, this is a great product. Please do better with the answers here, or allow us to provide answers and help others. Some of us love the product and are happy to help. Why not embrace that and let us help?

Not good engineering!
32” track application for 16” on center supports, requires attachment at 3 points, however the widest holes on the metal track are 31” apart! Whoever the engineer was that designed this should be FIRED! Retuning product!

Impossible Instructions and Design!
This product cannot be erected the way the instructions show! The rails are 32" long and are supposed to be screwed into three studs at 16" on center. The first hole on each end is 0.5" in from the end and the holes are spaced at 1". This puts the end holes 31" apart, which puts them 0.5" off the center of a 1.5" stud, which is only on the stud by 0.25" if the studs are spaced perfectly! In addition, 32 holes at 1" spacing (31 spaces) means there is no hole in the center either! The rails should have been made 33" long, that way the end holes would be 32" apart and there would be a center hole and you could hit the center of all 3 studs! This isn't rocket science!!

CANNOT BUY ADDITIONAL SCOOP HOOKS!
I just bought this FastTrack Rail Garage Kit and am VERY disappointed. Had I known that I could not buy additional single scoop hooks, I would have never purchased this product! I notice many others have complained about this for years. What good does it do to write a review if management doesn't read them and try to improve their product? I will never buy another Rubbermaid product because of this!

Useless without the right accessories
This product is 100% worthless without the right accessories. This is a classic case study in management not understanding customer needs. I have several of these on my garage wall from many years ago. They have a horizontal bike rack attachment, which appears to no longer be sold. Sad that management decided to make thier own product obsolete.
