Designed specifically to be compatible with most conventional and commercial-style cooktops, the Broan Elite RMDD3004 downdraft combines a sensational appearance with high performance features. Stainless steel construction on all exposed surfaces provides a durable finish and an unforgettable look. The thin profile saves precious space under the cabinet, while the chimney rises over 9-1/2 in. when activated, ideal for large pots and pans.

- 600 Max blower CFM to quickly pull smoke and cooking odours out of the air
- Models RMDD3004EX, RMDD3604EX and RMDD4804EX offer you choice of exterior blowers ranging from 660 to 1620 max blower CFM or in-line blowers from 320 to 1540 max blower CFM (blower required and sold separately)
- Easy-to-use rotary control lets you adjust the fan speed
- Dishwasher-safe filters are easy to remove and feature a stylish brushed stainless steel appearance for a professional look
- Unique ducting capability allows the internal blower connection to be ducted to the left, right or downward (from left to right)
- Heat Sentry adjusts speed of the blower to High automatically in case of excess heat, to prolong product life
- Optional remote control will activate down draft from an alternate location (RMDDRBK sold separately)

Not Happy!
1 1/2 years and the rotary dial for the on/off and fan speed fails! Of course warranty is only one year! This is unacceptable! I know lots of people have had the exact same issue!

Excellent product. Love the easy operation and attractive look.
The downdraft functions excellent taking smoke and fumes out of my kitchen. The attractive style looks fabulous on my center island. Operates great and not too noisy even with fan on high. I love this product and would recommend it.

wish it was a little taller, when using gas stovetop front burner it will not catch all the smoke as it is not quite tall enough and our very sensitive smoke alarm will go off...if you don't have cathedral ceilings & use the back burner it'd be perfect!

Exhausts effectively, but noisy. Installation was not easy.
The vent is noisier than I expected, especially at high speed exhaust. Fortunately the fan speed and noise can be adjusted.
Insatallation was challenging. I was very difficult to attach the ductwork because there was so little space beloww and behind the unit. Also, the dimensions given do NOT include the 1/2" bolts sticking out of the back of the unit. The cabinet had to be cut away partly in back to allow for the extra space.

A great addition to our kitchen
We are so glad that this product was available. We couldn't do an overhead exhaust and this is the coolest appliance in the kitchen.
