NOT JUST FOR PAINTING...
I have different sizes of these poles that I use exclusively for maintaining decorative light strings in my yard. These poles extend in length at specific intervals (vs friction tightening types) & lock in place which is really convenient when working with wet hands. To do this kind of work requires that the electricity supply to the light strings is TURNED OFF/DISCONNECTED because the extended portion of the pole is aluminum. I found/bought both the screw on adapter & hook needed for the lifting/pulling required to maneuver the lighting into place from a local arborist retailer (suppliers also online)
