A worthwhile investment in storage capacity
We've successfully outfitted our garage and one closet with the Gladiator system, enabling us to maximize the storage capacity of these spaces. The elements come together easily and are extremely well made and durable. A worthwhile investment.

Dang that's heavy duty.

Perfect for my application
I bought this shelf along with 4 four-foot lengths of Gladiator gearwall and some accessories . What a great solution. It's really tidied up my utility room. My only concern is that the shelf can only support 50 lbs. It's not an issue for my application but precludes me from using another shelf like this for storing cans of paint.

Very poor packaging and different badge
This is a very nice shelf, but the packaging is terrible!! I would strongly suggest purchasing this from a store where you can inspect the box before purchasing. My package arrived with numerous indentations in the box with some of them piercing all the way through. At first I thought the shelf had escaped without any damage, but after further inspection there is a dent in the front of the shelf. Luckily I don't think it is enough to compromise the strength of the shelf, but it is noticeable. Another, more disappointing issue, is the Gladiator badge/name plate is different from all of my other Hammer Granite Gladiator products. Those all have a badge with Gladiator in orange text, while this has it in silver text and the font looks more bold. In the photos I saw online it looks like it still has the Orange badge, so maybe it was a mistake in manufacturing??? Either way, it's very disappointing to not have it match the rest of my Gladiator products. Especially since it is directly above a cabinet and next to another (older) Gearloft Shelf that have the orange badges.

I purchase this shelf a few weeks ago and finally go to install it today. It was a very difficult install. First the directions were not real clear. Second, it was very difficult to hold up and screw the bolt and mount it to the panel the top of the shelf was not secureyyy. I nnnn. will not be buying again. Jim kobilarcsik

Poor design. Needs an extra Gearwall panel to work
Whoever designed this made sure that you'd need to waste an extra GearWall panel to mount these. Brackets stretch above a single panel so that you'll need to mount a second panel to make it work. What. A. Joke.

Really pleased with the 45" gear loft shelves
I hung two of these in my garage with the 4' gear wall panels. I use them to store my motorcycle side cases and a top case. These provide a convenient way to store the cases and prevent their paint from getting scratched. One shelf was bent upon arrival and they immediately shipped a new one, no questions asked. Overall, an easy and fun project with great results. Looks great too.
