EXCELLENT FAN!!!!
I bought this fan a year ago and I absolutely love it!!! I take this fan everywhere I go and it works absolutely fantastic. It circulates a ton of air in any room and a battery charge lasts a very long time!!! I highly recommend buying one for as I am looking at buying another one for myself. Great Job Dewalt!!!!

Exactly what I needed
I bought this fan to go in a deer stand. Anybody that hunts from a box style stand knows the temps can be brutal in the south. One fully charged 9 ah 60v flex volt battery lasted me all season while the temps were up. This fan moves a ton of air and is whisper quiet compared to the “red” brand fan. Plus it makes a great addition to my boat to cool off the wife and dog on those days with little or no wind keeping me on the water longer.

A must-have for any workshop. Or home. Or boat.
This is possibly one of my favorite accessories of the entire Dewalt lineup. I had looked at it for a while as a "nice to have" addition to my shop, and now it's probably the most used yellow and black 'tool' in my garage. You get a healthy runtime on a 5 amp battery, and even at full power it's whisper quiet. Air movement is beyond satisfactory - it has been run non-stop every weekend for about 3 months now working on a home remodel project -- from helping dry paint between coats to keeping me cool in warm weather, this fan has more than earned it's keep, and I'm honestly considering adding a second one.

So good i have two. A 5ah will run 9 hrs on high and still have a little charge left! Ive gotten a 9ah to run a whole work week on one charge!

Great for camping
I bought this fan for camping. It is a great fan so far. It has a cord and a spot for a battery so there is never a situation when I can't use this fan. If I'm camping somewhere with electricity I prefer to use the cord because the fan will last all night. When I'm only using the battery, it lasts almost all night, so I'll pack multiple batteries if I plan on camping for a few nights. I love that I didn't have to buy a special battery for this fan. It takes just a standard Dewalt battery, and since I already own those batteries I was able to use the batteries I already owed. This fan has multiple speeds. It keeps me cool on hot summer nights while camping. It is lightweight enough that it is easy to take on the go.

Just got one after craving it for years.
I've been looking forward to getting one of these fans for a long time. I couldn't justify the price for the lack of features though. Recently a buddy gave me his, and although I do love it, here is what I think it's missing.
1. I shouldn't have to remove the battery to plug in a power cord.
2. This fan has a 120v plug... There is no reason it shouldn't be able to charge batteries while running the fan off 120.
3. There should be a usb port.
4. The fan should have a higher speed. Like say a turbo mode where the fan runs at 200% speed but only lasts for 2 hours instead of 7.
You could make another fan with these features, call it the "PRO" model, and I would buy it. I know the price point would increase, but those features would make this fan the best.
