Dewalt lifer
I've used dewalt power tools since they came out! My corded circular saw is on its 3rd trigger and going strong! My other saws go b4 the trigger! As per the flashlight! I had bought a 12volt and loved it! An employees the breaker" broke it beyond repair or I'd still have it. So I bought the 20 volt. Love it. Wish I had 2!

The light that took a 15,000 mile trip.
I’ve had this light for a while. Yes, the only battery worth using with it is the 1.5Ah, due to it’s size, if you want to use the magnet. HOWEVER! I lost my light on a truck, that I was servicing, about 3 months ago. I thought I had lost it forever. The truck showed up at the shop a few days ago and a tech said he found a light under it. With much surprise I jumped up and asked “WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE!?” We hurried over to the other tech that it was given to and there it was. The light that went on a 15,000 mile journey under a construction truck. The battery still had a charge. The light was still in really good condition. Will I recommend this light to anyone else? Absolutely I will! This is the first review I’ve ever made for a product and it really does deserve it!

Nice light But
Nice light But could be better would like this light with the same beam of light the DEWALT DCL050 gives. You would have the perfect work. light The beam is small and to concentrated on this one and the DCL050 it has nice light but it is way to top heavy if you could take the two and make one perfect.

Excellent Work Light
I needed a rechargeable work light that was adjustable, magnetic, and bright. DeWalt nailed it with this version. It’s super versatile and can be set up in any situation to illuminate whatever you’re working on. I highly recommend it and it should be part of any working man’s tool set.

Useless in almost every aspect
Touted for having versatility with a magnet and kickstand but cannot be used as such. Not a SINGLE 20V battery fits this thing well - 3Ah and up, is too big, and any compact battery is still too small for the magnet to sit flush with the battery's base. Literally not a single battery fits!? C'mon DeWalt... Even the new compact 3Ah & 4Ah battery's don't sit flush on this thing.
As for the light itself, it is way too focused. Diffuse the beam just a little and the whole thing would be more versatile.
Extremely cumbersome to hold in your hand so the best choice is to have it stand or be magnetized to a surface, but as mentioned, this doesn't work so well.
The kickstand works ok.
Way overpriced for what it does.

Nice light
We bought this to use around the shop. Works great battery last a long time. My only issue is I think the magnets could be larger or a little stronger. Being there are two small magnets, in certain positions the light will slide and not stay in position. Other than that I like the light a lot. I would recommend it.

it's just what you need, when you need it
I love the positionable head on this. That in combination with the magnets really allows you to always be able to find a way to shine the light just where you need it. The on/off button is in a great spot, so it doesn't turn on while bouncing around your tool box, but you can easily hit it when you need to. Add this to your tool box today, you won't regret it.

Strong durable bright light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this hand held light for some time now and it works great, still bright as day 1 (about 600 days now) it is used daily but did not know how durable it is until last week. I was at work (building elevators) and let it rest on a buffer (it's the spring at the very bottom floor so the cab does not hit the ground) someone lowered the cab onto my DeWalt light and smashed it with about 2 tons of force, amazingly when the cab went back up the light and battery were still in good shape and still working. I am a DeWalt customer for life!!!
