Description
Use this kit to give your mower the ability to easily mulch. Mulching cuts the blades of grass into small pieces and returns those pieces to the lawn, providing essential nutrients to the soil. Mulching will also saves you time with no need to raking or bag emptying needed. The kit includes 2 mulching blades, mounting hardware and a molded plug.

Does NOT fit T2400 (Blades)
Bought this after buying the T2400 mower only to discover the blades that come with this kit are star pattern and the mower has "s" pattern. Not only wasting my time to go get it but the time to install only to find out it is not correct. What makes this worse is there does not seem to be a kit for this mower nor blades I can find that work........... UGH. I would not have bought the mower if I knew it couldn't mulch. Very frustrating

Star Pattern Does Not Match T2400
The 46" mulching blades in this kit do not mount to the T2400 riding mower. They are completely incorrect.

Poor Engineering!!!
Just bought this product for the sole purpose of Mulching the lawn. The blades look the same in quality as any others. The plastic plug is nicely made BUT does not make a complete SEAL!!!! Easy installation as a former mechanic. The plug does NOT FIT Tightly and as you mow grass and other debris shoot out where it meets the steel deck. I added window foam seal tape under to help keep debris from leaking through but not a total fix. I see this as a potential safety hazard as small hard objects can deflect out and possible injury!! As for efficiency as all others stated it leaves a strip of clump grass line on the discharge side looks like strips on your lawn.. Also the clippings blow out from under the deck in the front and wind up all over your legs and the top of the deck possible interfering with the moving parts premature wear out?? When I first got the mower this spring and just used the side discharge there was NO blow out coming from the front onto the deck. My opinion I would not purchase this item or recommend..

Is this a joke?
I cannot imagine a more poorly built or fitting mulching cover for a Craftsman Elite 8000 mower. The only way it works is that the grass clogs up the gaps sometimes.
