A fantastic basic grinder with a handguard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I have seen the reliability and toughness of my first DeWalt set I decided I needed to get a new grinder that was battery powered so of course I went with the 20 volt Max.
I chose this grinder because it has been around a long time and I actually liked the handguard instead of a toggle switch. As a person who uses a tool and then throws it in the bag having a guard over the switch I believe is a good idea.
Of course I have made it a practice to remove the battery before I put it back in a bag or chest just in case in transit a button doesn't get pushed and then you run the battery down or grind a hole in the side of a bag... hint hint, experienced this personally. So far I usually use this grinder for the serious tough jobs of gas riser and valve maintenance, grinding off coatings, rounding tops of T post and the longest job that I do that makes this thing run for 30 minutes or more at one time is Bush hog blades.
I have 6 ah and 5ah batteries so this thing will grind longer than I want it to.
This set came with another charger which I desperately needed since this may DeWalt tool number 6 and now I had approximately eight batteries. This along with some of my other tools are used almost daily at work.
My last hint is going to be that I always mark up my tools to look a little different not just stickers but spray paint stencil and most importantly I paint the yellow on my DeWalt bag black so when it is in the back end of the truck in the camper shell and someone glances in or even uses a flashlight to look through the dark tent can't distinguish it from anything else in the back of the truck. The bright yellow DeWalt is a good advertisement for them and also a good advertisement for thieves looking for a quick grab.
Not associated with this review is not only dark window tint on my camper shell but also epoxy chicken wire on the inside that if they decide to bust the glass has one more obstacle so it's not such a quick snatching grab like so many of the thieves are doing nowadays.

Always like the DeWalt tools. Probably the best out there. On the flip side, the registration process could be a little more simpler. Always nice to have a confirmation on the same page when finishing registering. Email is nice confirmation, but immediate confirmation while registering is nicer.

Great power long lasting battery
This is another great brushless sawzall with great power and a long lasting battery. Just wish this model allowed me to turn the blade sideways like other dewalt models do.

Good saw, but could have been better.
I want to give this recip saw 3 stars but I'm giving it 4 stars. I know, I know y'all are wondering why I want to give it 3 stars but didn't, well I'll get to that. First off, it's a great saw for demo, clean up, and rough work. It has a lot of power, I leaned into this saw many times and it just powers threw whatever I cut. It's a comfortable and well balanced saw, the run time with the 8 ah is incredible. But now to what I dislike, no rafter hook, no adjustable shoe, no orbital action, and no 4 position blade clamp. I mean come on dewalt, there are a lot of saws on the market for less money with a lot more features. I would like to see an adjustable shoe, the four position blade clamp come back, orbital action, and a rafter hook added to this saw.

Very nice very powerful I like it a lot
I've had this saw all just for a short time it's a lot more powerful than my 380 it's a little heavy I wish I had an adjustable shoe what is the Great saw all 8amp battery last a long time I like the power detect a lot you buy this saw you will not be disappointed

Convenient, but some limitations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this grinder a few years ago, and while I found the cordless aspect very convenient, the battery needed to be replaced more frequently that I had hoped. Additionally, I continue to have difficulty securing a metal cutting wheel. The collar when tightened doesn't hold the wheel in place so I end up stacking 2 wheels in order to lock them down.
