This cordless and brushless reciprocating saw from CRAFTSMAN delivers excellent performances for increased speed of application with a 1 1/8-in stroke length. Its 2-speed trigger selection allows the user to maximize the tool's efficiency based on the task at hand. A tool-free blade release system makes for quick and effortless blade changes, and a contoured over-moulded handle and a very compact design will allow you to make cuts in tight places with less fatigue. Better than corded
This is one of the best reciprocal saws i have owned, including corded Milwaukee. The ease of use, strength of cutting stroke and weight contribute to its high quality. The brushless model is a workhorse, and conserves battery. I have used it for automotive retrofit, limb cutting as well as demolition.

Saw gave up after 1 use very disappointing day !
Bought this today to add to my growing craftsman tool collection, but it honestly made me second guess my decision to buy craftsman . I used it 1 time to cut a fence post and I thought it was gonna catch on fire it started smoking like crazy and gave up! got to say very disappointing ! I would upload video but can only add photos :( hopefully the brushless model works better I really want to stay loyal to the brand

under powered and dangerous
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fair price, but some serious design flaws. i can't believe this made it to market. My number one complaint it the safety issue. the recipricating head is open. Allowing digits to wander into pinch/crush points on the tool. every recip saw I've ever used....and I've used them all. has a housing around the recip shaft to guard against personal injury. The saw is under powered.

The Little Saw That Could!
This reciprocating saw has cut through everything I have thrown at is so far. The brushless motor is powerful and efficient! I have a two 4AH batteries and two 2AH batteries and have never had to wait for a battery to charge. I mostly only use the two 4AH batteries in this saw and it can last for a whole day's worth of work. I use it at home where I build projects for others, at various locations cutting up scrap metal, and on an 75 acre property to cut limbs and branches out of hunting and riding trails. It is slightly smaller than most corded reciprocating saws so it is more versatile and able to fit easily into cramped spaces. The power is great, the size just right, and the ability to go anywhere with it, make this brushless reciprocating saw an absolute pleasure to work with.

V20 has great tools and average tools. The brushless tools are AWESOME! The brushed tools, meh.......

Best Cordless Reciprocating Saw for the Money!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This saw is an amazing value. My father in law had one and after using it on my shed i knew i needed one. Never liked cordless anything other than drills but this saw was the 1st of many Craftsman V20 power tools to change my mind. Works for a long time and cuts through just about anything even with small 2ah batteries. I now own 8 craftsman batteries for all my V20 tools all because of this one saw's performance.
Id buy it 5 times before i paid 5 times more for anything else and would be happy.

Six piece tool set

Reciprocating saw
It's a good saw for a homeowner doing light projects. If your using it for any longer than a minute or so the battery gets very hot and the electric motor does too.
