Not impressed
Had the sawzall for about a week and had it smoking. Exchanged it for a new set but can’t be taking and warranting a new set every week. Definitely not qualified for a job site.

Not sure what happened!
I received this set as a Christmas gift two years ago and I really love Craftsman tools. The price point is very reasonable and as a carpenter I need my tools to handle a high work load, so these have been good for me, up until recently. The oscillating tool as I was using it just stopped working. As if the motor seized or something. Battery still full, and the light on the tool itself was still on too but the motor appears to have just stopped. Tried changing the battery but no avail. My thought was just to let it go and move on, but then the same thing happened a few days ago to the circular saw. And because it was a gift and I don’t have the receipt I’m not sure if I have any recourse. It puts me in a bind because I have no way of determining if this was a fluke or something that’s going to happen to the rest of the tools as well. Regardless, I need a battery tool that has a longer shelf life than two years. And as much as I like the price, I’d rather pay more for something that lasts longer. My craftsman radio (which I received as a gift for Father’s Day two years ago) had malfunctioned in basically the same range of time, and while they did send me a new one which I appreciate, I’m still concerned as to what the expected lifespan for these tools are. Five years seems reasonable, I’d obviously prefer longer, but two years is most certainly too short a time for something that costs hundreds of dollars.
