Freezer Jars - Plastic - Purple - 236 mL - 5/Pk is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from REALLY good design. These jars have almost everything covered. The lids twist onto each other so you can store them as a single unit (much less likely to get lost or "disappear" under other things), and the jars twist onto the lids (not just the reverse) so you can make a stack of full containers that move as a unit - VERY useful in a chest freezer - pull up an entire stack at once. Be careful not to overfill as expanding ice /will/ pop the lid off, but will not harm the container or the lid. Also be careful to distort the "jar" slightly when screwing on the cap - this will ensure a tight fit. Twisting lids together or a stack of jars together can be tricky - the threads are very small. Use patience. The different sized jars nest in each other, and I will bring one of the small jars filled with condensed home-made soup inside a medium jar to work; by lunch the soup is thawed enough to slide into the medium, add water, and microwave. Oh, the SHAPE of the jars ensures that contents can be removed even when fully frozen; just run under cold water before removing lid to slightly thaw just inside; then slide it into a bowl. The ONLY thing they missed is that the plastic is a bit brittle when frozen, and if you drop them full they may break. I use them for EVERYTHING that needs an air-and-water-tight seal. Storing open spice bags, for example, or treats for the cats - they don't even know anything is in there until the lid comes off. Buying more today, because I don't have enough for the fruit salad mix I'm making to bring to work.
