Description
Handcrafted from stainless steel, Vault brings bold new style to the traditional farmhouse sink. The single-bowl design features tightly angled corners to maximize basin space, and an included bottom sink rack helps prevent scratches. Due to its shortened apron, this sink does not require a special apron-front cabinet, making it easy to install with most new or existing 36-inch cabinetry. The Self-Trimming(R) design requires only a simple rough cut, overlapping the cabinet face for beautiful results.

Not what I expected from a kohler product
I wanted to love this sink. It looks sleek and modern. But it has
2 major flaws- it scratches and it does not slope even at the tiniest angle for food to drain. For the price, I expected a quality design.

Sink makes a popping noise when exposed to hot water
The sink makes a popping noise when exposed to hot water from the faucet due to expansion of the metal. It sounds like a gong ringing when I use hot water in the sink.
I raised the issue to Kohler support and was told this is normal. I've only had the sink for a month. So far, I'm very unhappy with the product and trying to decide whether it's worth it to replace the sink.

We haven't been able to install yet waiting on cabinets and counters but opened and inspected the look and quality. Can't wait to install and use it!!

Great Sink!
Ive had my Vault for 5+ years. I am a custom glass and concrete countertop fabricator and this sink solves a lot of problems with its clever design.
1. The flange design on the apron means I can cut an existing cabinet and hide the cut line. Cut lines in the field are NEVER perfect. If you buy a non-Kohler apron front sink without a flange...it doesnt cover the cut line!! This makes me look VERY GOOD.
2. The Vault design, eliminates the need for a skinny (and utterly useless) countertop piece in front of the sink. These skinny pieces usually get chipped or cracked and then need to be replaced. Try replacing an entire expensive glass countertop because the skinny piece broke in front...Its NOT cheap, nor does it make homeowners happy...so its VERY smart to eliminate it altogether.
3. As part of our sales process, we coach our clients into selecting the Kohler Vault for these reasons...and prevent expensive repairs that could have been avoided with thoughtful design.
4. As for other reviewers claiming its hard to clean...thats just not true...use a square type sponge. Its no problem at all.
5. Ive installed over 30 of these sinks to date and continue to endorse this well-made sink.

good sink
I purchased new home Aug 2017 had them install this sink because I've had undermount sinks in past the problem is they tend to come apart between granite and sink the adhesive gives way after a few years. I've seen this a few times. This sink sits on cabinet and is very secure. I like that its deep, stainless steel with wire screen in bottom. If you use bar keeper friend cleanser with brush and sponge it stays clean and looks great. one problem the white feet (6) on bottom of screen turn black and its hard to keep clean otherwise I love this sink

VERY Disappointing
I had this installed in my new Kitchen. Don't do it! This has such square edges that it is almost impossible to remove all food debris and clean the sink. Dries with all the water spots. I have to wipe 2-3 times to get it to dry so it doesn't show all the water spots. Very high maintenance. They say it has silent shield sound absorption but this is only a few 2x6 inch pieces of rubber glued to the underside of the sink.
