This is a water holder, not a rain barrell
1. it was missing the drain fitting
2. you have to drill out your own hole for the drain fitting
3. there is no hole in the lid for water to come in ... so you have to cut it out yourself, or leave it off. If you leave it off, it becomes a breeding ground for mosquitoes; if you cut the hole, there is no mesh to keep mosquitoes out.
4. the lid doesn't lock
5. there are extra photos of just the base, but it doesn't come with

J'ai le mien depuis 5 ans, toujours fonctionnel.
C'est son 6e été. Avant de trop vous fier sur les mauvaises critiques, fiez-vous à ce que je vais dire, j'en magasine un 2e. Il n'est pas plus fragile que d'autres, ni trop gros, 210 litres, c'est un format commun. Pensez bien l'entreposer comme n'importe quel autre l'hiver, c'est du plastique, comme les autres modèles. J'ai eu deux petites fentes, parce que j'ai mal entreposé le 2e hiver...pas grave, un tube de colle, un morceau de ruban gommé à l'intérieur, et tout va bien. Je fais plus attention maintenant qu'il ne soit pas appuyé, contraint sur quelque chose de dur, sur le côté, au froid. Si j'en avais pris un plus cher, il se serait brisé, peut-être plus. J'ai pas pris la base... trop dispendieuse pour ce que c'est... Je le pose sur des tuiles de béton, et c'est parfait.

Excellent replacement for older barrel
This is my second rain barrel from Rona. I needed to replace the barrel I purchased from Rona a few years back because I did not drain it last fall. We all know what happens to water that freezes and becomes ice in a plastic barrel. Hence a replacement was purchased.

You get what you pay for...and sometimes less
The barrel has a great capacity but the design is not ideal and has a bulky look to it. It's essentially a supersized bucket. Having to drill a hole to install the tap was an unpleasant surprise but you should make sure you have the right drill to avoid several attempts, adjustments and breakage. My item was delivered with one of the hooks on the lid being broken, which I only noticed once I had installed the tap and could no longer return the barrel. After filling it up half way I noticed a leak somewhere at the base but cannot quite figure out where. I may end up using this rain barrel for another purpose.
