It's trash, don't buy it.
Purchasing a new Samsung refrigerator that did not come with an ice machine, I was delighted to see that Samsung sold this "quick connect" kit I could install.
Boy, was I in for a surprise.
As literally, every other review has stated, this is trash. The "quick connect" kit does not actually come with all the required parts for installation nor does the manual or any website or customer service portal that I have found tell you that up front or even what you actually need to purchase (oh yes, you have to pay more) in order to install it. Various responses to reviews here have provided the manual and the Samsung Parts website but neither are helpful. I've spoken to no less than six people about this today as everyone points to someone else who should have the answer. It's dumb. Why a company would make navigating their product so difficult and why they wouldn't fix the issue after so many have reported it...heck, even, I don't know, provide their customer service reps direction on how to handle this issue, is beyond me. Super frustrating from a company I have always purchased my appliances from, but probably won't anymore because this is unacceptable.

Samsung! Please help!!!!!
Automatic ice maker kit water valve missing wire connector. This is the exact same issue as others have posted in their review. There seems to be an issue understanding that if you sell a product, you should make sure it works before people discover they can’t connect their new automatic ice maker kit water valve.

Don't bother, this will never work
incomplete, as other reviewers have mentioned. No harness provided to connect inlet valve. Samsung support claimed first that additional parts must be purchased separately until i provided photos of the issue. Then, they directed me to the seller, who sent me back to Samsung support. Seller already had another kit on hand that was returned for the same issue. This harness simply does not exist as a separate part number. I'm strongly considering making my own harness, if i don't just give up and return the ice maker and fridge altogether.

Will not connect to Samsung fridge
Believe what others report: There is no "port" in the compressor compartment to connect the "valve connector" as instructed on pp. 11 of the installation manual. This is a fatal flaw because the ice maker will not operate. So now I have an ice maker installed in the freezer which does not work. How could Samsung get this so wrong?
The "port" should be shipped to me at no charge overnight.

Required rebuilding the fridge
bought a compatible model fridge thinking it was an easy upgrade. nope, you also need to buy the top hose, valve assembly, and new computer board in order to make it actually work. sure you can 'install' it easy.

Loving my new refrigerator
This products has been a pleasant surprise didn't know that it could be converted from freezer to a full fringe so simply giving me more options in which it could be used. We choose the stainless steel color it has proven to be so easy to clean we don't even have a problem with finger prints. Wow!!! I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family
