Might as well have nothing
i have two of these in my bathroom that we’re installed with a home renovation. They do not sit flush. They are uneven so there is always an air gap that allows it to shift when airflow changes . The spring mechanism just is not effective in holding it flush to the wall or the ceiling . Would have been better off spending more and having a secured one put in.

Very cheap
I bought this for a water main access door. This will ONLY work if the hole is NOT framed (no wood on edges) and no strapping or other wood is near the edges of the hole. Trying to fit the metal "spring" in the hole caused the spring to pop off the tiny plastic retaining pin; the spring would no longer stay on the pin afterwards. Junk.
