Interesting Concept but...
So bought and installed on same day - instructions, while basic, were lacking somewhat.
2 main challenges - security hook would not work as per manual as hole for carabiner was non-existent. As well, the main control box with all the wires made managing all the connections a chore as there was not a lot of room for the number / size of cables and connections.
As for actual performance - light is ok - all downward facing so make sure it will work with your space. Fans - small blades but move decent air if you are right below or slightly to the side - otherwise, you won't feel a thing. Fan noise is not bad at low speeds, but it is very noticeable at anything higher than slowest speed.
Should note - not a professional handy man or electrician, but have been installing fans / lights in my own homes for over 30 years.
tl;dr: Bit of a pain to install, but does what it is supposed to ok-ish
