What A Beast!
We just had the worst snow storm that we have had in quit awhile. This was the first time I was able to put the new Cub Cadet - 3X 30 to the test. This machine is Amazing!! it ate through snow drifts that where taller than the chute. It ran flawlessly and was amazing on gas also. Best snow blower I have Ever had.

Like a workhorse, reliable and strong
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very efficient at moving snow.
The heavier the snow, the more the auger digs in to throw it.

Love this blower
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I had this snowblower for 2 winters, very impressed, great machine. The heated hand grips are a big bonus on those wintery days.

An inferior design with multiple flaws
This is not a well-designed machine. The 3 stage system does not work anywhere near as well as advertised. It simply cannot tolerate slush at all and the chute clogs as soon as you get anywhere near it. Consequently, you are frequently using the un-clogging shovel to get rid of the clogged chute. It also goes through accelerator shear pins at an alarming rate. And you frequently find yourself replacing them in the middle of a snowbank.
There is also a severe design flaw with the reverse speeds. The unit comes from the factory with the forward speeds set at a good and normal pace but the reverse speeds are almost non-existent. I have sought out help from the dealer, consulted the manual and finally resorted to repairing the machine myself. It works something like this: when you set the reverse speeds so the unit reverses at a decent pace, you screw up the forwards speeds and 1st becomes too slow and 2nd remains too fast in deep snow.
The only good thing about it is that there is quite a bit of forward bucket weight which allows you to scrape the driveway very nicely.
Overall, I am signficantly disappointed with this machine and would not under circumstances recommend buying one!

Terrible!
Chute instantly plugs when the snow is even remotely wet. I use it more as a plow than a blower!
