Is 5x6 the openning size or the installation area needed?
It requires 18” overhead space. I wish I knew this before I bought it that’s why I’m answering this.

Is there a way to cut/modify this so it’s shorter? I want to create a storage space under my deck but I don’t have a 6’ opening plus 18” overhead clearance.

Great value - fairly easy install
Just installed on our shed this past weekend. Really straight forward. Following the directions for a 59.5” opening but we did 60.5 and it worked out fine.

Two out of three ain’t bad I guess.
I purchased 3 of these, first 2 no problems but the 3rd one was a nightmare. Scratched, dented and the lock mechanism was totally messed up. One locking rod was too long and the other was 1/2” too short and they were installed wrong in the lock mechanism itself, oh and 1 screw was nowhere to be seen. I decided to just fix it myself as it took me forever to get the doors in the first place. Rebuilt the lock mechanism bought new rods, worked out the dents and painted the door. Not super happy but what do you do?

Correct measurements
Wood frame 60 inches inside to inside width or 30 inch from centre each way. 72 inch height. Instructions call for 29.5 which is too small. Once frame is correct install is pretty straight forward and easy. You will need to pre drill holes in metal frame but it’s thin metal. Overall appearance is nice and what one would expect with price point.

Instructions are a joke. Felt slider already pulled off first use. Next time I will see if the manufacturer has made a video putting their product together. If they cant be bothered to do that then I cant be bothered to buy it.

Nice door
Nice resonably priced door. Easy to install only if you Burn the brain dead instructions. Just look at tracks and install on level floor 63 1/2 inches apart to the recessed part of door tracks or 60 inches from inside to inside. key will remove once door latches fully engage track slots. Spin door 2 rotations after tightening the u clamps. Simple install, How could someone totally screw up instalation instructions and not correct them for years is bewildering.

Works, looks good!
It works but a little cheaper quality than I expected. The metal is thin and paint seems easy to scratch. We’ll see how long it holds up.
Instructions were too basic. The side rails should be mounted 30” from center for the door to fit in the channel. 29.5 didn’t work. The top bracket dimensions were accurate (32.5 from center). I had two rotate the bundles 1.5 times for the right tension not the 1/2 turn the instructions said. Adjusting tension after is a huge pain, make sure you turn it 1.5 rotations at the beginning. I struggled for an hour re-adjusting.
The instruction call for mounting it 8.5 inches from the wall. That left a big gap between the door and frame when closed and free air movement into the garage. I adjusted it so it’s closer. Only move one side at a time, otherwise the tensioner come loose and you need to pretension doing like 5 full rotations. Move one side at a time keeping the other bolts tensioned so the tensioner doesn’t unwind. It wasn’t a fun install but happy with the door and how it works. Just wish it was thicker metal.
