Description
Minwax Stainable Wood Filler is ideal for repairing cracks, gouges, nail holes, knot holes and other defects in all types of unfinished wood surfaces. Quick-drying and easy to sand, the filler resists shrinking and cracking and securely holds screws and nails. While specially formulated to accept wood stains, it's also paintable. The latex formula is easy-to-clean with soap and water.

Container Won't Seal!
Not a terrible product, but the packaging is a complete disaster. It won't sea and the filler dries out. Most of my filler went to waste.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
This product is labeled wrong! It is NOT stainable. Very misleading representation of this product. We used the filler to repair some wood pieces on our deck. We did the process as the manufacturer suggested When we tested the stain the wood filler will not absorb the stain. Leaving spots and streaks where the wood filler was used. We are EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this product and will have to replace many boards to match the deck project.
I recommend the company change the label on the product to paintable NOT stainable!

Terribly misleading product
It says it’s stainable but it isn’t. Would not recommend at all. Terribly misleading product that will highly complicate if not ruin your project.

Worst example of false advertising i have ever see
read direction, followed exactly, and ruined a gift for my wife because the stain DOES NOT adhere to the wood filler. absolute garbage. this is going straight into the garbage.

Good product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is such a good product. It’s extremely easy to use. Once completely dry, it sands so much more smoother than other wood filler brands. Easy product to locate on the shelves, especially with the iconic Minwax yellow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this about a month ago and used it to fill in some deep scratches in a piece I wanted to paint. It filled the grooves very nicely and the paint covered great. I’ll definitely continue to use this product.

Good wood filler

Works Great. Easy To Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm no pro and I found this easy to use. I had a crack between the flooring where the flooring didn't meet perfectly so I used this to fill the cracks before laying down new linoleum. It spreads pretty easy and didn't take too long to dry. Very workable. This is stainable and paintable and for interior or exterior use. I'm very happy with the results of this. I will definitely use this to fill other cracks or holes.
