The louver panels turn 45 degrees in both directions, with 4 inches between each panel. With the sun at its highest point, the Camelot will provide full shade.

Are the posts the only items that require wood inserts? What about the header boards & purlins, do they require wood inserts as well?

Can the shades be completely closed (when it rains) ? Is it solid enough to hold snow when closed in winter?
Hello there. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The louvers don't close fully, so it won't be rain proof. We recommend leaving the louvers open in the winter, The accumulation of snow will cause the louvers to buckle and collapse

The pergola will be going on a deck. We need it to be free standing, using bracket mounts. Does the kit price include the deck mounting materials? If not, what is the added cost? How are the louvred adjusted for shade? Thank
The kit does not include the Bolt Down Brackets they do need be purchased separately. They are $99.99. There is a bar with the kit for moving the louver boards in the direction you like. There is 3 sections of louvered boards and in each section if you move one all in that section move.

Very nice, good quality pergola, but UPS delivery was a nightmare.
Beautiful classy pergola!. Best part is the adjustable louver system that make a big difference in controlling the shade in my backyard which gets full sun all day at different angle. The 12ft x 12ft size turns out perfect for our patio which could fit a bit larger size. I love that the posts and beams are supported with wood inside but the pergola is vinyl material which is maintenance-free! I had a great buying experience with Lowe''s. They willingly offered matching and beating competitor price by 10%. The order was processed promptly by the manufacturer, New England Arbors.
