unfortunately i am one of the purchasers who finds the fragrance of this flower, offensive. google says some find the flower smells like cat urine and dirty socks; yep. very offensive. also, mine did not grow or flower well. stem heights were varied and flowering was sporadic. i found it took longer to bloom than it read on the box. i had placed it in a window with afternoon sun; perhaps i shouldn't have done that? was it maybe too cold that close to the window? i will never know.....but next time.....amaryllis for me! tried and true and fragrance friendly!

Paperwhite Narcissus - not my favourite
The pot that came with kit seemed way too small for four bulbs. I used a different one. The flowers didn’t bloom until February. Only two were tall. The other two were dwarfed. The flowers, while attractive, have a very unpleasant aroma.

Poor quality
I bought two box of amaryllis and a box of Daffodil, only one amaryllis is blooming. The other amaryllis poorly growing, and the daffodil not flowering at all, only grow long leaves. I had amaryllis for years, and I know plants. very disappointed purchasing experience.
