Pas assez rigide et poignée vraiment pas idéale
J'ai acheté cet article hier pour déboucher un drain, un coup que j'ai accoté dans le bloquage j'ai eu beau essayer pendant des heures sans succès. Le principe de manivelle est vraiment mauvais et impossible d'avoir une bonne prise en main. Ce matin j'ai louer un modèle électrique chez un compétiteur. 15min le drain étais debouché et ça ma coûté le même prix. Sauvé vous du temps et de l'effort louez un modèle plus fort pour le même prix. Je ne le recommande pas dutout!

Efficace mais un peu difficile à manipuler
J'ai acheté aujourd'hui à 16h et le drain était débloqué à 20h. Le drain essentiellement horizontal était entièrement bloqué. Le déboucheur ayant un diamètre de 1/2 po. et une longueur de 50 pi. il est lourd et glisse facilement dans le drain de 2 po. Pendant l'utilisation, je garde le solde du câble dans une grande poubelle pour éviter de tout salir autour.
La manivelle est complètement nulle mais un Visegrip fait un bon travail. À chaque obstruction, pousser, viser 5 tours, tirer, dévisser 5 tours (ceci évite de tordre les 50 pieds de câble). Quand tous les obstacles sont détruits, faire couler de l'eau et agiter le câble aller-retour pour évacuer les déchets.
L'entreposage de l'outil est problématique : il faut le rincer, le huiler et l'enrouler. Encombrant et pesant. Mais combien utile pour entretenir régulièrement ce drain desservant l'évier de cuisine, les laveuses à vaisselle et à linge.
J'utilisais antérieurement un câble 1/4po x 25pi. qui se tordait souvent et ne débouchait pas bien.

Ne perdez pas votre temps...
J'ai tenté de débloquer un drain de maison avec .... Ne perdez pas votre temps et allez louer une vrai machine électrique dans un centre de location d'outils. Problème réglé en 5 minutes avec l'outil de location.

Le bouchon était à environ 35 pieds. Ma première tentative était avec un débouche renvoit de 25 pieds. Ce n'était pas assez. L'outil a passer à travers les coudes du tuyau avec une certaind dose de détermination et de beaucoup de "avance-recule". Mais ça a, au final, très bien fonctionné. J'avais consulté les commentaires précédants et plusieurs étaient très utiles.

Furet - Cinq étoiles
Merci! À fait un travail remarquable en passant par 6 coudes (45° et en 'U') afin de percer un bouchon à prêt de 35'. Pour les inhabitués à ce modèle, il faut user de plus de force pour passer les coudes et la manivelle en tige se travaille plus difficilement que celle à tambour/entonnoir comme sur les plus petits modèles. Il est plus facile de faire pivoter la tête du furet grâce à la vis de fixation de la manivelle en tige. Prévoir un bac de 5 gallons pour déployer/ranger le furet.

Very Helpful tool. worth every cent
I bought it today. I had blocked drain. First I bought 25 ft snake! and did good job for the first 25 ft. But did not unblock the drain. When I bought this 1/2 inch auger I was hesitant to use it because my drain pipe is only 2 inch in diameter. I thought the 1/2 inch would not bend in the elbows and might break the pipe or get stuck there. I read the positive reviews and got encouraged by them and started to use the 50 feet auger. first it took long time to go in and out and the drain still blocked. I kept rotating the auger slowly and push it in and out . Finally it went through the blockage and cleared the pipe. One advantage in the auger is, its heavy weight. Every time you pull the auger and release it , the weight helps you punch through the blockage. Hint: Do not rotate the auger too much. it will get twisted inside the pipe and you will have hard time to untwisted and pulling it out from the pipe. Just slowly twista nd push in and out to get the twist to the end of the auger.
