Description

Revillusion is a completely new way of looking at fireplaces, and changing the standard for electric. A clear view through the lifelike flames, to the full brick interior, captures the charm of a wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy the look of a fireplace cut straight from the pages of a magazine by choosing Revillusion; clearly a better fireplace.
  • For an authentic fireplace experience, the Revillusion produces flames that are larger, brighter and more random, appearing from within the logs
  • Fool even yourself with the Mirage flame panel that adds to the show; it is a partially frosted acrylic panel that shows only dazzling flames and no reflections
  • With patented Thruview technology, you are able to see clearly through the flames to the back of the firebox for a more authentic experience
  • Set the mood with additional lighting for a firebox glow; you can choose from warm hues or even try out midnight mode

I’ve installed the fireplace and it’s lighting up but not heating up. I’ve double checked wiring, made sure the heat setting was on but no luck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Yes.... if the problem was fixed before we got it. We purchased this unit after reviewing everything on the market. This unit by far has the nicest effect.... It seriously looks like fire. However..... once installed, and the heat is on, there is a noise like metal expanding and flexing..... it's a ""boing"" noise. Interesting that it happens at almost 24 seconds every time the heat is cycled. There apparently a ""motor"" coming as warrant..... I'm almost certain it's not the motor. Also..... in the demonstrations one of the effects is a ""blue"" glow..... when we employ this function we can barley see the blue color.... it's there but you need to look underneath the logs to see it..... not much of a pleasing feature sitting back. Would like an answer to this as I've sent in the comments and nobody has responded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice looking traditional fireplace I recently purchased this fireplace and had a contractor install it. I like the realistic look of the flame but was a bit disappointed that the ""brick"" background was just a piece of cardboard with a picture of bricks on it. I knew that these could not possibly be real bricks but would have liked the cardboard to be more substantial (hence the 4 stars). It works great and does throw off nice heat. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend. I also got the glass (additional cost) and am glad I did. It made the fireplace look more realistic and ""finished"".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely fireplace until you turn on the heater fan We have this fireplace installed in our new home. It looks great and is quite realistic. But when you turn on the heater the fan is far too loud. I have had it replaced once but it is no better. I have another dimplex fireplace at our cottage and you cannot hear the fan at all. I also have a Napoleon electric fireplace and it is super quiet too. Don't know why this is so loud and nobody seems to know what to do. Would not recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would buy again w/ hopes for crackling sound next time I felt I paid too much for this product but it was the best looking one I could find. The flame looks real nice but the bricks inside look cheap (I expected better quality for the price) but still it's better then the black interior I saw on the competitors products. Other inserts offer a crackling burning wood sound, I wish I had this. Also be prepared to hire an electrician, it's not designed to be an easy plug-in as I thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from would buy again Really like how adjustable this fireplace is. Heat output is good - quiet while operating. Flame appearance is realistic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ABSOLUTELY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I reconstructed our wood-burning fireplace to an electric one after discovering that 30 years was a bit hard on the the old contractor's box that the house had been built with. I had looked all over for a an electric fireplace whose flames gave a realistic representation of flames. I'm pretty difficult to please, but this fireplace insert exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to install. I purchased the cord kit for a neat install. At night we even use our Google Mini Hub to play a fireplace sound that is also very realistic. Many have already commented that they didn't realize that it wasn't a woodburning fireplace. The lighting options on the log set are nice and very realistic. I think the one item that is the standout of this fireplace is the lighted coal mat that lays underneath the log set. It is very realistic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I regret buying it I removed my ventless gas fireplace because I didn't like the amount of heat it put out as well as the gas smell. So, I began looking around for an electric fireplace. There are many different brands and models. I kept coming back to the Dimplex because of their good reputation. I'll get right to the point with what I like and what I do not. Pros: easy installation, remote works well, and the flames look decent. I also like the accessory glass frame you can buy to complete the look. Cons: Turned on, it only looks good in a dark room with the ambient lighting system turned off. That's my opinion. What I really do not like is: 1) in broad daylight, the interior of the unit is painted a "green-like" color. In other words, the fake brick design is green and looks awful. I'm sure it's painted that way for a reason, perhaps, for it to look more realistic when turned on. But, when you are not using it, it's kind of an eye-sore, to be honest. The pictures online really do not portray just how green in color the bricks are. The other thing I do not like is related to its function. I have the fireplace mounted in a wall about two-feet off the floor. It's about eye level when seated on the sofa. When looking at it, there are reflections of the flames that occur on the inside top of the unit in a predictable pattern that is unattractive, unrealistic and distracting. It looks like little LEDS are flashing. Perhaps mounting this near the floor would solve that issue as you would be looking downwards and not see those reflections. So, I think it's a fair product, a little expensive for what it is and I expected something a little more refined. It would be nice if Dimplex made multiple models with different functionality and looks in the same dimensions so an easy swap would be possible. But, all of their products are different sizes which requires custom framing which is a lot of work and expensive.
