Dining Room Chairs
The biggest question I had before ordering the chairs was what was the extent of disassembly? I was not able to have the question answered before ordering them but decided anyway to go ahead and take a chance. They came with the seats attached to the backs. The legs needed to be assembled into the seat of the chair. The legs were attached together on both sides of the seat but not side-to-side, crosswise of the seat. Consequently, the legs and cross braces had to be assembled into the seat and fastened securely together. The instructions made that a relatively simple process using bolts and screws. Although no gluing was called for, I used white carpenters glue to add security. The legs each have a sheet rock style screw fastening them in place into the seat bottom. The cross braces have a bolt in each end covered by a wooden cap. After it was assembled, I think it is as strong as any chair we have ever had. Remarkably, out of 4 chairs I assembled, only one leg seemed to be a little off level. Although I had planned to remove a little of the lower end of the chair leg, I ended up adding an adhesive backed leg pad to the bottom of another leg and all was well. A good purchase. Chairs were said to be a product of Malaysia.
I would liked to have had available before purchase a description of the assembly requirements.
